PPR
- Back to basics

In the sense that the PPR (Pulse, Pulse and Respiration) makes the simple, clear announcement "You can count on me", literally, St. Gallen Horology have basics; back to the Semmelweiss for both practicality and functionality.

But take another look at the dial design. Instead of starting each count at the 12 o'clock position, just keep your eyes on one quartered second hand, as it sweeps through sixty seconds, and note the two sets of pulse calibrations (first pulse count and then the check-pulse) on the convex, inner bezel, beginning at 12 o'clock and 4 o'clock respectively.

Next, still with the same second hand and still within sixty seconds, note the respiration calibrations on the outer bezel - all boldly machined with perfect accuracy.
